LGVSD is dedicated to promoting pollution prevention awareness to our students and school. Marin County students from kindergarten to highschool can benefit from the resources available from us. Resources range from books to CD-ROMs, call 415-472-1734, ext. 14 for availability.

In our on-going effort in promoting pollution prevention in our schools, we have added educational programs, which cover a variety of water-quality related topics. See below for specific programs that are offered, or email us for further info by clicking on the following address.

Habitat Restoration and Pollution Prevention Day: (Grade 1) -Full day field trip at LGVSD rebuilding and preserving a monarch butterfly habitat and learning about pollution in our waterways.

Wetlands Day: (Grade 3) -Full day fieldtrip at LGVSD covering habitats, wildlife and wastewater issues.

Water and California Resources Day: (Grade 4) -Full day fieldtrip at LGVSD covering environmental reclaimed water issues, habitat gardens and hands-on field work.

In-Class Presentations: (Grade 3-5) -Site visit to classroom covering stormwater and wastewater issues.

Tours: (Any grade level) -A walking tour of treatment facility and habitat gardens. School bus subsidizing may be available.

Live Education/Entertainment: -LGVSD, in collaboration with other non-profit agencies, offers educational entertainment shows free of charge. Please inquire for current shows and availability.
